![]() ![]() the lt1 had weak rod bolts and spinning tht high withoout a good balancing is scary. so putting a stock lt1 to that coud cost you a block and crank. The lt4 came with a 6400rpm rev limiter, but there 4 bolt mains. ![]() if you gain mph and time up it 1 more till you stop gaining. then one at a time meaning start with 1st gear, up it 1. but it varysfrom car to car, dont raise it to much tho the beast way is a test and tune day, run 3 passes on stock rev and shift points, get a base line. plus the programmer only makes 10hp maybe so i would raise the limiter to 6000, remove the top speed limiter, and i think if i remember the stock motors like plus 1,1st gear,+1 2nd and +2 3rd and you can gain up to. if the car had a cam or some heads on it thats another story. You will be reving higher but not making any more power so it will be a waste of rev. Shipping from Stage 3 Motorsports was fast, so that was a nice, added bonus.Im not sure why you would want to bring the shift points up and the rev limit up, that will take away from the powerband of the stock cam. The adjustments this device makes can be made in as low as half inch increments, so getting things dialed in shouldn't be too difficult.
